Position: HR Project Manager
Pay: $60-63/hr
Location: Chicago, IL (3 Days On-site, 2 Days Remote)
Overview:
The HR Project Manager will work closely with clients to understand business challenges and design solutions that address them. This role requires collaboration with the HRIS team to leverage technology and improve process designs as part of a comprehensive solution. The HR Project Manager will oversee and manage a range of projects, from large to smaller-scale initiatives, ensuring effective planning, resource management, scheduling, and execution. Driving continuous improvement and change management will be key to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Convert strategic opportunities into actionable projects with clear, measurable outcomes. Manage HR-related projects to ensure timely, efficient, and quality execution.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement within HR processes, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Execution Oversight: Lead and manage special HR projects and ongoing services, ensuring that all work is completed according to plan and aligned with organizational objectives.
- Mergers & Acquisitions: Partner with HR and other functional teams to ensure smooth integration during mergers and acquisitions, aligning HR processes and systems across the organization.
- Vendor Management: Oversee and manage relationships with HR vendors, ensuring adherence to service agreements, timelines, and quality standards. Develop and implement vendor control plans.
- Technology Integration: Identify and implement technology solutions to streamline HR processes and support digital transformation efforts. Collaborate with the HRIS team to design innovative, technology-enabled processes.
- Risk Management: Mitigate risks in HR processes and projects, including managing resource constraints and responding to audit requirements and corrective action items.
- Goal Setting & Prioritization: Set clear goals, prioritize tasks, and develop plans to ensure that HR projects align with broader organizational priorities.
- Data Analysis & Performance Metrics: Identify key performance indicators for system and process effectiveness, and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Communication & Training: Develop and deliver communication strategies and training programs to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and initiatives, fostering understanding and buy-in across teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensure that knowledge and information flow effectively across HR and other interdependent functions, improving overall organizational performance and alignment.
- Client Communication: Maintain visibility into project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring clarity around timelines and deliverables.
- Staff Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, helping to develop their project management skills and supporting their professional growth.
